Hi, I'm Daniela Klotz, and I'm so happy you're here.

I grew up near Frankfurt, Germany, where some of my happiest memories began in the kitchen. Working beside my grandfather in the hotel, I learned to cook and bake. At home, making caramel with my grandmother showed me how much love a recipe can hold.

Today, Missouri is home. I love gathering family and friends around our table, trying different spices, and sharing the German recipes I grew up with. My children and grandchildren are at the heart of everything I want to pass down.

Cook Like a German Mom began when my daughter asked me to write down my recipes so they would never be lost. I wanted to preserve more than ingredients and instructions. I wanted to share the stories, memories, and small moments that make you feel as though you're standing beside me in my kitchen.

My hope is that you feel confident enough to start slowly, taste, and adjust as you go. Cooking is something you learn with your hands and your heart—and something beautiful to share with the people you love.
